Davis Estate Community Centre, a well-appointed hall and related facilities available for hire, is situated at the heart of the Davis Estate, in Barberry Avenue. The Centre is open from 9 am until 11 pm daily (8 pm on Sunday).
Monday to Friday is primarily for regular community activities, and weekends are available for individual, community, business and social functions.
The DERAC Community Centre has its own bar and kitchen facilities, a large car parking space (for 30 cars) and is one of the best such facilities in the area.
Fire regulations restrict the number of people on the premises as follows:-
Dancing or close seated — 200
Seated around tables — 165
Exhibition — 120
The Community Centre has a spacious dance floor with an ample supply of tables and chairs. There is a good bar area leading to a well equipped kitchen which has an adjoining room with a serving hatch to the main hall. The Centre is adequately heated by a modern central heating system, ventilation is provided by extractor fans and ceiling fans.
The Centre has a full alcohol licence and all bars have to be run by our approved bar staff. The bar is well run and the prices are comparable to normal Public House prices.

Hire charges (w.e.f. 1st April 2006) for the Centre are as follows:

Exclusive hire is available on Saturdays and during school holidays on Fridays.
We have a "Set Price" rate system for social functions which includes
provision of a bar as well as a Clear & Clean Service, where you leave at the end of your function and we clear away and clean up.

Charges for long term hire and for financial gain are subject to special negotiation, and the above charges are subject to periodic review.
DISCOUNT : A discount of 10% is available to hirers who have been full members of DECC for a minimum of one year on production of their membership card. Discounts do not apply to specially negotiated rates.
The above rates are effective from lst April 2006 and may be amended at the discretion of the DECC Trustees. Any such amendments will be imposed on all bookings where the hire date is more than 90 days prior to the amendment date and will be notified in writing.
