Rochester South and Horsted ward:
Roadworks in and adjoining the ward

Below are current road and footpath works in the Rochester South and Horsted ward. Please be aware that occasionally something has just happened and has already been completed by the time it is notified to me. If you encounter something going on that isn't up here, do please let me know where and what it is (and, if possible, by when it is expected to finish) and I'll put it on this page for everyone's benefit.

If there is ongoing work that requires traffic control measures, this will be indicated by a traffic cone symbol, thus: Traffic cone

Road/Footway Repairs & Resurfacing

Note: There have been a number of quick jobs affecting road traffic for just a day or two, in various locations during recent years. These have tended to be notified to us on the weekend after the work has been completed, which is why they have not been reported here unless one of us happened to encounter such work during our travels.

Road Gritting

Just for information: We have eight gritter vehicles operating around the clock during the more severe snowy weather each winter. The salt bins are now being left in place, instead of being removed during the warmer months, as an economy measure.
