Medway Council:
Rochester South & Horsted ward

This ward is probably the most complex in the urban part of Medway, with no fewer than ten residential communities (some of which overlap into other wards) plus Rochester Airport and its adjacent industrial and commercial area.
Within the ward there are two community centres, two churches (plus services held once a month in one of the community centres), a Sikh temple, two social clubs, four pubs, a day centre, a linked service centre, five schools, youth clubs and meeting places, a hockey club, several homes for elderly folk, numerous local shops in shopping parades and elsewhere, an Asda superstore (now with George clothing), a Co-Op convenience store, a fort, a college (though this will be going soon) and a large green space at and around Horsted Farm, plus smaller greenspace areas.

The map just below this text shows the extent of the ward.

Below the map is a list of notable features to be found around the ward. Each of these links to an image of that feature. More will be added in due course.

Finally come the local election results for the ward (most recent first) since it came into being in 2003.

First, here is the map of Rochester South and Horsted ward, delineated by a solid blue line. It's a large ward, so this is a big map, and will take a moment or two to fully appear:
