Prayer Request : Baby Titus

Update on 26th July

Titus has now reached the age of five months. He has crossed some difficult hurdles and is responding well. He is now off his medication for the kidneys, but is still on medication for his heart condition. Baby Titus

Update on 16th June

Some good news. Chee Kwee and Annie took their son for examination and the doctor said his kidneys are O.K. The doctor thought there must be a mistake in the earlier scan, probably the machine was faulty.

We don't think there was a mistake, but the prayers of people all over the world have been answered and God has granted healing! God answers prayer.

Tissues are growing fast and almost covering up the hole in the heart!

A miracle. God is still performing miracles!

Titus had recently been to the dentist. Doctors had found a presentation of "white deposit" on his upper gum at birth and during his dental visit, we were told not to be alarm with the condition, though the presentation is uncommon. They suggest that we should wait for another four months before they can give us a clearer picture of what is happening.

The dentists did say these white deposit may be a kind of growth that will disappear when the baby teeth "sprout". Baby Titus had 3 X-rays done on this matter.

Then he had a MAG 3 Scan. These were for his left and right kidneys. We thank God for the way He had helped us during the scan.... Titus slept right through the entire 45 mins without any medical sedation.

The doctors were not comfortable with wanting to sedate him as it might result in further complications. They were not sure if he could be still and if the scans were not clear because of baby movement he had to repeat the whole process [which means he had to be injected with the radioactive dye again through IV... something we felt uneasy about.

Praise the Lord the results were acceptable, however, the Senior Consultant told us this week that Titus would need another ultrasound scan in 9 weeks time to check for reflux in the left kidney. Also needed is another scan for the right kidney, which they say is quite alright now. [MCU Scan]

With the Cardiologist, he told us that baby is growing. He is hoping for the large VSD [hole in vetricle wall] to naturally healed itself. Just continue with medication and feeding. Doctor will review after another month and then decide what's next.

With the Genetic Specialist, she told us to treat Titus like any normal baby even though there were major defects indicating almost 80% that he has some difficulty. The doctor mentioned that Titus might fall into two known types of syndrome. We felt uncomfortable with this early anticipation, while from the medical standpoint they hope to help us with a long term management of his development.

We were told not to be alarmed and will again assess his development before making any final conclusion.

We have yet to visit the Plastic Surgeon, the Speech Therapist for the Cleft defect. This will happen this Friday and next Tuesday. In 3 months time Titus needs to undergo an Audio test for his hearing.

We are trusting God and know that many prayers are offered to our Almighty God for His grace and divine healing.

Timothy is helping us and we feel that he is also missing some of our attention that he used to receive. We thank God that he is learning through this experience as well. So far his studies is doing well and he is taking care of himself.

Please pray also for our ministry and the people whom we have influenced for Christ, we know it has impacted also this area. We thank God for meeting our needs and supplying people to help with the ministry too.
